Julius O. Ebinu MD, PhD, FRCSC

Dr. Ebinu comes to us from Alberta, Canada. He attended medical school at the University of Calgary and received a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology and oncology from the University of Alberta. While working on his Ph.D. he discovered a key factor in tumor formation and published his research in the journal Science. This led to a prestigious Canadian Institutes of Health Research scholarship for a postdoctoral fellowship in neurobiology at Harvard Medical School.
From Harvard, Dr. Ebinu went to the University of Toronto to complete his neurosurgical residency, followed by a skull base neuro-oncology fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital. After that he completed an additional year-long fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
