Julio Zaki Abucham Filho MD, PhD

Julio Zaki Abucham Filho is a Professor of Endocrinology at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. He completed a postgraduate degree at the same institution, a master's degree in 1983 and a doctorate in 1985. He was a research fellow in Neuroendocrinology in Boston, MA, from 1985 to 1988, at the New England Medical Center Tufts University, under the supervision of Seymour Reichlin. He has been an associate professor and advisor professor in the postgraduate course (Masters and Doctorate) of the Discipline of Endocrinology at the Federal University of São Paulo since 1989.

He was a researcher at CNPq, Head of Infirmary and Preceptor of Medical Residency in the Discipline of Endocrinology until 2008. At the moment, he is head of the Neuroendocrinology Unit and coordinator of the Internship in Endocrinology at the same institution. He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Endocrinology and Neuroendocrinology, working in clinical and research on hypothalamic and pituitary diseases, at the diagnostic, therapeutic, pathophysiological and molecular level.
