Julio Rosenstock, MD, is Director of the Dallas Diabetes and Endocrine Center, an endocrine practice and clinical research facility in Dallas, TX. Dr. Rosenstock is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Costa Rica School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in endocrinology and diabetes at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital in London and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Rosenstock is board certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology and metabolism.
His clinical and research activities have focused on intensive diabetes management strategies and novel therapies to improve glycemic control and to prevent and retard diabetic complications. Dr. Rosenstock's current main interest is early insulin intervention with combination strategies to reach glycemic targets in type 2 diabetes. He has more than 160 publications, including peer-reviewed papers and numerous abstracts, and has also contributed to 10 clinics and book chapters on various topics in the field of diabetes.
He is currently an editorial board member of Practical Diabetology and Cardiovascular Diabetology, and is also a reviewer for several journals. Dr. Rosenstock is a member of numerous professional societies and has chaired or been a featured speaker at multiple lectures and presentations both nationally and internationally.
