Dr. Juliette McClendon (they/them) is a Black, queer, neurodivergent Clinical Psychologist who has been working with clients for over a decade. Dr. McClendon works with individuals and couples. They use a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to therapy. This means that they take into account the roles of culture and trauma in shaping mental health and use science-backed methods (CBT, DBT, etc) to support well-being. Dr. McClendon specializes in helping people recover from PTSD and anxiety, embrace their emotional sensitivity, and navigate neurodivergence.
They help people find effective ways to set boundaries and cultivate healthy relationships. Dr. McClendon also provides support to couples navigating challenges in their relationship. Dr. McClendon is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD, for both individuals and couples. Dr. McClendon is also trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) for couples therapy. Dr. McClendon trained at Harvard University, Boston University, the VA Healthcare System, and Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. McClendon is Co-Owner and President of Triad Psychotherapy P.C.
