Julie Cohen BSN, RN, CMCN, CCM

Julie Cohen, BSN, RN, CMCN, CCM, is a Director of Medical Management for Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, the largest not-for-profit health insurer in the United States. She oversees utilization management for more than 500 member organizations serving more than five million people.

Prior to the recent Highmark/Blue Cross of Northeastern PA (BCNEPA) merger, Julie held various leadership positions within BCNEPA including medical management, transition of care, medical policy, medical coding and DRG retrospective review. From 2002 – 2009 Ms. Cohen served in case management leadership roles for workers compensation and auto liability at Travelers Insurance. Julie has clinical experience and a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia as well as certifications in case management and managed care.
