Julie Burkin MSc

Julie joined the BIS / LTCS in August 2009. She qualified as an occupational therapist in 1997 and gained experience in Healthcare for the Elderly, Neurological Rehabilitation and Spinal Injuries before specialising in oncology and palliative care, working at 3 hospices and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Julie obtained her MSc Clinical Research in 2013 and has a keen interest in fatigue management for malignant and non-malignant disease, anxiety management and relaxation. Julie has presented the work of BIS at a local and national level. She presented at both the COT National Conference and the COT Special Section in HIV, Oncology and Palliative Care (HOPC) Conference in 2013 and has also presented at international conferences in Dublin, Montreal and Hong Kong.
