Juliane Heydenreich MS, PhD

Ms. Heydenreich studied sports and nutrition sciences, received her doctorate from the University of Lausanne, worked at the Swiss Federal Office of Sport in the Department of energy metabolism/sports nutrition, and completed the IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition. In recent years she has worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Health Sciences at the PH Schwäbisch Gmünd.

In her research, she focuses on the energy metabolism in athletes, examines the connection between physical activity and nutrient intake, and positions herself as a member of the working group on sports nutrition of the German Society for Nutrition on current topics in sports nutrition. In teaching, she will initially focus on the topics of sports nutrition and nutritional principles in the BA in sports science and in the M.Sc. Movement and Well-being represented
