Julian Dimech

Julian trained in the UK and has been a specialist at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland since 2009. He and Annick Depuydt developed the national Part 3 course atMiddlemore and have been organising it since it began in 2011. Julian has recently completed his tenure as supervisor for the fellows at Middlemore, having held that responsibility for the last five years. He has developed his research interests and was the principal investigator for the METS trial at Middlemore as well as co-investigator for a number of other trials in the department. He also has a number of other nonclinical roles in the department and enjoys the collegial atmosphere and challenging workload in South Auckland as well as having a busy practice in the private sector where he works with 5 different surgeons
