Julia Egerer MD

Julia Egerer is Senior Regulations Officer at the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Before joining EASA, Julia was Assistant Vice-President at re-insurance company Swiss Re, working as an insurance underwriter in Munich, Germany, insuring airlines worldwide and assessing airlines’ safety performance.

Prior to this, Julia was General Manager for the European Association of Airlines, based in Brussels. Her remit covered representing the 30+ airline association. She was responsible for political advocacy campaigns ranging from airport charges and ground handling to passenger facilitation. Julia reported on a regular basis to a steering team of senior airline executives, including the Presidents’ Assembly of European airline CEOs. Julia also worked in Brussels and London as political adviser on EU affairs, where she advised clients from the food, transport and financial services industry on EU policy developments. In this role, she devised pan-European advocacy campaigns and managed strategic planning and account management activities for large private sector clients.
