Judy Chou PhD

Dr. Judy Chou is the Vice President of Pharmaceutical/Technical Operations at Pfizer, Inc., formerly Medivation. She leads the CMC organization for both biologics and small molecule products and is responsible for early development, manufacturing and commercial supply chain. Prior to the current position, she was the Vice President of R&D at Tanvex Biopharma, Inc. where she developed the rich pipeline projects and provided leadership in R&D, manufacturing, preclinical & clinical functions to enable the success of the company’s IPO. Dr. Chou obtained her Ph.D. from Yale University and completed her post-doctoral training at Max-Planck Institute in Germany. Before joining the industry, she held a Research Faculty position at Harvard University Medical School with the research focus in cell biology. Through Dr. Chou’s career in the industry she has achieved significant amount of milestones in protein therapeutic development and is well recognized by her work at Genentech, Wyeth Biopharma/Pfizer, and Abbott Bioresearch/AbbVie for the breakthrough technologies in analytical characterization and the accelerated process and formulation development, as well as her contributions for successful filing of BLAs and INDs of numerous products. She has substantial amount of publications/patents, and is an active members of many professional societies.
