Juan Carlos Montano-Pedroso graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Parana (2002) and completed a medical residency in general surgery (2005) and plastic surgery (2008) from Santa Casa de Sao Paulo. He completed his Master's Degree (2012) and Doctorate completed "with honors" (2017) in the postgraduate program in Translational Surgery at the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP. He is currently a Plastic Surgeon at UNIFESP, where he serves as Coordinator of the Liposuction Sector, Coordinator of Plastic Surgery Monitoring, Vice-coordinator of the Improvement Course Scientific Research in Surgery at UNIFESP, Co-advisor of the Graduate Program in Translational Surgery at UNIFESP and permanent professor of the Professional Master's Degree in Science, Technology and Management applied to tissue regeneration.
Reviewer of the official journal of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, Clinics, and Trials. He holds the Title of Specialist in Plastic Surgery from the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, having served as a scientific consultant, a member of the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS), and an international member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
