Carlos Lodeiro Espino PhD

Dr. Carlos is a Principal Researcher & Associate Professor with habilitation (Tenure) at the FCT, NOVA University Lisbon. he published 295 documents in international peer-review journals, with an accumulative impact factor of 716. 80% of these papers were published in first quartile high impact factor publications. His research contributions have attracted a high number of citations (over 3494 to date (Thomson Reuters), and he has an h-index of 37(Scopus). Recently his state-of-the-art research in the field of multifunctional novel metallic nanoparticles for SERS and Proteomics Applications has recently been patented (Br 102015 018736 0, University of São Paulo, Brazil; Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal).

C. Lodeiro’s breakthrough research has been highlighted in 15 scientific journal covers and he has been able to attract many researchers to participate in more than 35 international conferences attended by more than 5000 scientists. The international conferences organized since 2012 have promoted the internationalization of the Faculty of Science and Technology and have contributed to the development of the social fabric of Caparica.
