Juan Carlos Enrique Ambrosioni MD, PhD

Juan Ambrosioni MD, PhD. He is a specialist in the HIV / AIDS Unit and Infectious Disease (ID) Service and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, since 2014. He is an ID specialist at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Juan Ambrosioni is the author of more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles indexed in PubMed (more than one-third as the first, last, or corresponding author), and more than 30 book chapters. He is the principal investigator of national and international projects in the field of HIV infection, co-infections, and opportunistic infections. His main research fields are currently focused on antiretroviral therapy, primary HIV infection/HIV cure, and tuberculous meningitis. He is the global coordinator of the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) Guidelines.
