Jean-Pierre (JP) Clement is an Executive Pharmacovigilance Consultant for the pharmaceutical industry and the Founder of the JPCC Associates group. He has worked over the last 28 years in Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance in multiple capacities, mostly with global responsibilities, helping to build or improve pharmacovigilance organizations in order to meet the highest standards. Prior to consulting, JP Clement has worked for several biotechs and large companies such as Janssen, Merck KGa, Abbott, Sanofi, Onyx, and Cubist.

He has a track record of implementing highly efficient PV groups and activities, with high strategic output and compliance levels. He has also helped organizations successfully manage critical hurdles such as PV inspections, supporting market approval, extending global PV footprint, or manage safety crises. He has been part of the Annual DIA Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management Strategies for several years, both as a member and in a chairmanship role in 2013 and 2014. He is a regular guest speaker for a number of pharmacovigilance international seminars.

In his consulting practice, he has helped multiple pharmaceutical companies to establish highly compliant and efficient PV organizations, elevating PV contributions to a strategic level. JP Clement graduated in Family Medicine from Pierre and Marie Curie Medical University, Paris, France. He studied Pharmacology at Medical Universities in Paris and Lyon, France. JP Clement worked in clinical practice for 8 years before joining the pharmaceutical industry.
