Joyce Cheng is currently a dermatology resident at UC San Diego with an interest in clinical and translational research and medical education. Her research interests include the role of the skin barrier and skin microbiome in cutaneous diseases, such as atopic dermatitis and rosacea. She completed her internship in internal medicine at UC San Diego. She received a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, an MD, and an MHS in Clinical Research, all from Yale University, and is the recipient of numerous research fellowships and awards, including the National Institutes of Health National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences Clinical Translational Science TL1 Award.
