Joshua Schimmer MD, MBA

Josh Schimmer is a Senior Managing Director on Evercore ISI’s SMID-Cap Biotech team, focusing on small, mid and select large-cap biotechnology companies. Dr. Schimmer was a runner up in the 2015 and 2016 Institutional Investor’s All America Research Team for SMID Biotech. Josh has 14 years of biotechnology research experience, previously at Piper Jaffray, Lazard Capital Markets, Leerink Partners, and Cowen & Company. In addition, he spent two years on the buy side at Davidson Kempner.

Dr. Schimmer received his Medical Degree and subspeciality training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology from the University of Toronto and has a Master’s of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
