Joshua LaBrin, MD, FACP, SFHM, is an Assistant Professor in Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. As an academic hospitalist, his academic interests include medical education, specifically focusing on trainee and faculty development. He is actively involved in clinical education of students and residents on the teaching services at the University of Utah Hospital.

Dr. LaBrin received his Doctorate of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2003. He completed his residency and chief residency in 2007 in the combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He then went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and completed a fellowship in Hospital Medicine in 2009. In 2015, he completed training at Stanford University in the Stanford Faculty Development Center Clinical Teaching Facilitator-Training Program.
