Dr. Joshua Morais is willing to take any challenge head-on. He started his journey in medicine – and ultimately, radiology – at the University of San Diego, where he received his undergraduate degree. But it was his time in medical school at George Washington University that led to his conscious realization that radiology was the medical profession for him: “Late in medical school, I realized that radiologists had to know everything about everything. In all seriousness, when I discovered radiologists need to have a vast knowledge base around anatomy, pathology, radiographic presentation of the disease, physiology, and physics, I knew radiology was a challenge I wanted to undertake.”
And so he did, completing his internship at the Virginia Mason Medical Center before his residency at the University of Arizona and his fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Arizona Medical Center. His formula for success was straightforward, “study hard and read as many cases as you can.”
