Josh Grieger PhD

Dr. Josh Grieger is a Co-founder and Vice President of Manufacturing for Bamboo Therapeutics. Dr. Grieger has dedicated his career to gene therapy with much of his research focused on the basic biology of Adeno-associated virus (AAV) and development of processes for large scale manufacturing of rAAV vectors for human gene therapy clinical trials. Prior to co-founding Bamboo Therapeutics, Dr Grieger was the Director of the Gene Therapy Center Vector Core Facility and Research Assistant Professor in the Ophthalmology Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Grieger has direct oversight of GMP, GLP and research grade AAV viral vector manufacturing, process development, technical training and technical writing. Dr. Grieger holds a B.S. in biology and chemistry from Ashland University in Ohio and received his Ph.D from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill within Dr. R. Jude Samulski laboratory.
