Dr. Joseph Rabban is a Professor and Director of Gynecological Pathology Services at the University of California, San Francisco, where he is also program director for the Gynecological Pathology Fellowship. He received his MD and MPH from Harvard, a residency in anatomic pathology, and fellowships in general surgical pathology and in cytopathology at UCSF, and a fellowship in gynecological and breast pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is an editor and author of the current 5th edition World Health Organization Classification of Female Genital Tumors and serves on expert panels for numerous international guidelines for reporting gynecological pathology.

He is a member of the American Board of Pathology Test Development and Advisory Committee. Dr. Rabban is chair of the virtual education committee of the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists (ISGyP) and a member of the USCAP Education Committee. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Gynecological Pathology and an editorial board member of the American Journal of Surgical Pathology. In addition to regularly teaching at national and international courses, Dr Rabban has taught numerous continuing education courses at USCAP Annual Meetings and at the USCAP Interactive Microscopy center at Palm Springs. About this specific course, Dr Rabban is an expert panel member of the ISGyP Endocervical Adenocarcinoma Project, which recently issued a comprehensive set of evidence-based recommendations for pathologic management, evaluation, and reporting of endocervical adenocarcinoma.
