Joseph (joe) W. Kaempf MD

Joe Kaempf MD is the medical director of Quality Improvement and Research for the Providence Health System Women and Children’s Services in Portland, Oregon, USA. He trained at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland USA and has 30 years experience in neonatology, pediatric intensive care, quality improvement science, and clinical research. He has published widely in CQI methodology, NICU morbidity reduction efforts, and periviability dialogue and guidelines. His special interest is cognition and wide spectrum philosophy as fundamentals to rational healthcare and evidence-based medicine.
