Joseph Jairus Morgan, obtained an MD from Drexel University (Hahnemann) after a BA in Liberal Arts at Penn State. He became the first MD in Pennsylvania certified by the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine. Currently Senior Medical Director on Onconova Therapeutics, Inc and a consultant to Intiva BioPharma. He has a US patent pending involving cannabinoids and terpenes to treat organophosphate toxicity, licensed to Intiva Kotzker Pharma, with initial data presented to the International Cannabinoid Research Society and US Army Medical CounterMeasures systems. Clinical Cannabis training included an office-based Cannabis medicine Fellowship in California specializing in CBD: THC ratio dosing, terpene optimization, and compouding with dronabinol. Following training in Ob/Gyn and internal medicine, he practiced both at Eagleville Hospital. He went on to a 25 year pharma industry career in drug safety and clinical research identifying craniofacial birth defects from ACE inhibitors among other public health contributions.
Presents on Safety and Efficacy of Medical Cannabis, including to Philadelphia Flyers, 2017CannTen (in Israel on Federal regulations), Women Grow, and the PA Pain Society. He is Medical Director at www.GreenRushAdvisors.com, and a Guest Scientist and lecturer in Pharmacology at Wm. Patterson U (Biology Dept. and cannabinoid research lab of Prof. ES Onaivi). He has published original research in ultrastructural pathology of fetal kidneys, ectopic pregnancy-related kidney failure, and in practical medical pharmacology.
