Joseph J. Ruane BS, DO

Dr. Joseph Ruane is the founder and lead physician of McConnell Spine, Sport & Joint Physicians, where his practice is dedicated to comprehensive, non-surgical musculoskeletal care. Dr. Ruane completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine with Horizon Orthopedic, the team physicians for the Cleveland Indians. He is the Medical Director for the Columbus Blue Jackets and has been a member of the clubís medical team since the inaugural 2000-01 season.
Dr. Ruane is also co-founder of OhioHealthís Sports Medicine Institute. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine at The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has earned several awards for excellence in teaching and clinical service and is published in peer-reviewed journals and texts. Dr. Ruane travels nationally, educating his peers on musculoskeletal medicine.
