Jose Vladimir Oliveira BSc, MSc, PhD

Vladimir received his BSc (1984), MSc (1986) and PhD (1991) in Chemical Engineering and now is full professor at the Department of Chemical and Food Engineering at UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil) and worked at Transfertech as Director of R&D&I from 2013-2017. He currently develops research in the following areas: encapsulation and release of bioactive compounds in nanostructures, enzymatic production of biopolymers, enzymatic reactions in pressurized fluids and ultrasound, inactivation of microorganisms in pressurized fluids, alternative techniques for biodiesel production (enzymatic, supercritical method, ultrasound), alternative membrane separation processes, and process development in the presence of magnetic fields.
