Jose Antonio Perez Molina is a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alcala de Henares, a specialist in Clinical Microbiology, and has a diploma in Tropical Medicine and Community Health from the Autonomous University of Madrid and in Research Methodology, Design, and Statistics in Health Sciences. by the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Throughout his career, he has been part of the Microbiology and Infectious Diseases-HIV Service of the Gregorio Marañón Hospital.

He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the medical department as an expert in antivirals and currently carries out his professional work in the Infectious Diseases Service of the University Hospital Ramón y Cajal, specializing in the care of patients with HIV infection, travelers and immigrants with imported infections, as well as patients with autochthonous parasites. Among his research activity, it is worth noting that he has participated in more than 40 clinical trials and research projects, of which he has been the principal investigator in 10 of them. He is the author of more than 150 publications in national and international journals and more than 200 conference communications.
