Dr. Jose's academic training includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery (Cum Laudem) from the University of Cantabria (UNICAN). In addition, he has obtained a Master in Direction and Management of Health Services at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cantabria. He completed his training as an intern in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Marques de Valdecilla University Hospital (HUMV) and completed my training in the presurgical evaluation of patients with refractory epilepsy candidates for surgery, with a grant for further study (BAE) from the Health Research Fund (FIS) for 2 years at King's College Hospital, London. In 2013, he did a training stay in basic research at the Brain Circuits Laboratory of the Cajal Institute of Madrid (CSIC).
