Jose Irineu Gorla is a professor and researcher in the Department of Adapted Physical Activity Studies at the Faculty of Physical Education at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (Brazil). He holds a master's and doctor's degree in Physical Education / Physical Activity, Adaptation, and Health (UNICAMP) and a postdoctoral degree in the area of body composition from the Faculty of Medicine (UNICAMP). He is a psychoanalyst and neurometric analyst (SBF). He was the coach of the Brazilian National Team at the Paralympic Games in Spain (1992). In 2016, he was distinguished by merit with the Zeferino Vaz Prize (UNICAMP). He is the author of several books in the field of Adapted Physical Activity.
