Jos M. Latour PhD

Professor Jos M. Latour is Professor in Clinical Nursing at Plymouth University in Plymouth, UK and at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. His clinical post is based at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton in the UK where he is leading the Clinical Schools. The aims of the Clinical School are to enable research translation in clinical practice, to build research capacity, and to develop and value a research culture in clinical settings.

The research lines of Jos latour are related to consumer empowerment and involvement in health care as well as end-of-life care practices, paediatric sepsis, dementia and transition of adolescents with chronic illness from pediatrics to the adult care. Besides research, Jos is actively involved in the promotion of evidence-based and evidence-informed care. His vision is to narrow the gap between research, education, and clinical practice.
