Jorn Fierstra is the senior group leader of the BOLD-CVR translational neurovascular imaging team. For the CRPP his team provides a novel imaging test, i.e. BOLD fMRI-based cerebrovascular reactivity measurements (BOLD-CVR), that is used as one of the parameters to study hemodynamic impairment in acute stroke patients and to select those patients that are in need of acute surgical revascularization.
