Dr. Jorge Saucedo, MD, MBA, serves as the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where he leads one of the institution’s largest and most clinically diverse departments. In this role, he oversees academic programs, clinical operations, and research initiatives, with a focus on advancing patient-centered care and improving health outcomes across Arkansas.
A board-certified cardiologist, Dr. Saucedo brings more than two decades of experience in cardiovascular medicine, academic leadership, and health system management. Before joining UAMS, he held prominent leadership roles, including Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Director of Heart and Vascular Services at Froedtert Health.
