Jorge Cortell

Jorge Cortell is the Founder and CEO of Kanteron Systems. He is also a serial entrepreneur (x8), art curator, former pro basketball player, guest lecturer (in over 60 universities) and visiting professor (in Spain and Italy) on Free Software, HealthcareIT, and Innovation. But above all he’s a hacker, an activist, and a geek, who likes to break things to build better versions of it. Jorge studied Computing at the University of Oxford, Entrepreneurship at MIT, Business at ESADE, Medical Genomics at the University of Valencia, Bioinformatics at the University of Manchester, and he is a Harvard Neurobiology and Philosophy dropout. He can’t wait to be a student again Kanteron Systems has just received the California Impact Challenge in Precision Medicine award launched by the White House, and was selected to represent the EU in Silicon Valley as the “next EU unicorn”.
