Dr. Jordana (Jordy) B. Cohen is a nephrologist, clinical researcher, and Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She practices within the Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension Division at Penn Medicine, where she specializes in the care of patients with complex hypertension, secondary hypertension, and chronic kidney disease.

Dr. Cohen also serves as Deputy Director within the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics and is a Senior Scholar in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Her research focuses on hypertension and its impact on cardiovascular and kidney health, with particular emphasis on improving blood pressure measurement, understanding the physiologic effects of antihypertensive medications, and optimizing treatment strategies for high-risk patients.

A nationally recognized investigator, Dr. Cohen leads and collaborates on multiple National Institutes of Health–funded studies and clinical trials examining blood pressure management and cardiovascular outcomes. Her work uses large cohort studies, electronic health record data, and randomized trials to better understand and improve hypertension care.

Dr. Cohen earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, completed her residency in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center, and went on to complete a nephrology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She later earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania.
