Jonathan Yap MRCP, MMed, MPH, FACC, FAMS, GDip

Jonathan Yap is a Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at NHCS. His sub-specialty interest is in interventional cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, and structural heart disease including transcatheter aortic valve interventions (TAVI) for aortic stenosis and percutaneous left atrial appendage closure for atrial fibrillation. He spent a year in the United States performing his advanced fellowship in structural heart interventions at UC Davis Health, a high-volume tertiary cardiac center.

Clin Assoc Prof Yap has a keen interest in education and research. Besides being the Director of Medical Student Training, he is actively involved in several ongoing research projects and has published extensively in many international scientific journals. He is also the editor of an electrocardiogram (ECG) teaching app.
