Jonathan Salmon BSc, MSc, PhD

Dr. Salmon is an experienced project manager and software team lead having previously led a team to develop a multimillion pound biosensor-based point-of-care disease diagnostic instrument for the Scottish Government.

Technical achievements have included High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging techniques for Lab901’s Automated Gel Electrophoresis system, a 3D Computer Aided Design and Geometric Reasoning System using non-conventional optimization techniques for his PhD thesis, and 2D automated geometric reasoning for micro-milling of printed circuit boards.Technical skills include software, mechanical, electrical and optical engineering.

Dr. Salmon has managed projects for external clients from thousands of pounds to millions of pounds.

Dr. Salmon has strong analytical skills developed as a university lecturer and taking technical products to the market.

Dr. Salmon is quality-minded, delivering projects to satisfy regulatory and business requirements (including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CEIVD (CE marking for In-Vitro Diagnostics) 21CFR11 (FDA requirements for electronic documents) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
