Jonathan S. Friedstat MD

Jonathan Friedstat, M.D., is on the active medical staff in plastic/reconstructive surgery at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston. Dr. Friedstat earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 2006. He then completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Washington. From 2011 to 2012, he went on to a comprehensive burn and critical care fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he received additional training in pediatric burn care at the Boston Shriners Hospital. Dr. Friedstat has also completed a residency at the University of North Carolina where he studied plastic surgery and a fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in reconstructive microsurgery. Dr. Friedstat is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with the intention of improving outcomes research in burn reconstruction patients.
