Jonathan Pollak MPP

Jonathan S. Pollak received a BA from Bucknell University in 2004 and in 2008 he earned a Master's of Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University focusing on Quantitative Methods in Public Policy Analysis and Econometric Program Evaluation. After completing his studies, he worked as a staff researcher at the JHU Institute for Policy Studies before moving to a similar position in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2010. He became faculty in 2015.

Pollak research focuses on the impacts on the US population from our public health system, including childhood obesity, the health impacts of environmental exposures such as proximity to natural gas fracturing, industrial agriculture, and toxic metals, as well as the health effects of land use and the built environment. Mr. Pollak specializes in using Electronic Health Records for the purpose of Epidemiological Research.
