Dr. Young’s training has taken him across the nation and back. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a BS in chemical engineering and received his medical degree from University of California, Davis. He went on to complete his Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in Richmond, VA. He supplemented his training by completing the Pediatric Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado in Denver.
His clinical interests include congenital craniofacial syndromes, chronic ear disease, cochlear implants, velopharyngeal insufficiency, cleft lip/palate repair, mandibular distractions, complex airway management, airway reconstruction, and vascular malformations. He also has experience in all aspects of Otolaryngology, including maxillofacial trauma and adult airway management.
