Jonathan Hecht MD, PhD

Dr. Jonathan Hecht is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Before joining Children’s Hospital in April 2013, he was the Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and an Attending Child Neurologist at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, D.C. Dr. Hecht received his PhD from the University of California, San Diego in Biology in 1996. He then received his MD in 1998 from the University of California, San Diego. He trained and completed his pediatric internship and residency, as well as his Child Neurology residency at the University of San Francisco in 2001 and 2007, respectively. From 2007-2010, he completed a Post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He was Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics in 2001. In 2009, Dr. Hecht was Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology.
