Jonathan Chan MBBS, PhD, FRACP, FRCP, FCSANZ, FSCCT, FACC

Professor Chan graduated from the University of Queensland in medicine with First Class Honours in 1998 and completed his specialist cardiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He then undertook further specialisation abroad at Harvard Medical School in USA and graduated from the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston. He holds the academic title of Professor of Medicine at the Heart Foundation Research Centre and School of Medicine at Griffith University.

Prof. Chan is dedicated and committed to the training and education of echocardiography in Australia with emphasis on maintenance of high international standards. He serves as Faculty and invited speaker at many regular National and International conferences including Echo Australia, Cardiac Imaging Australasia, Echo Port Douglas, and Echo Hong Kong annual meetings. He has been elected to serve as committee member on the ANZ international regional chapter of the Society of Computed Tomography (SCCT) which is the international professional association responsible for training and accreditation of cardiac CT worldwide.
