Jonathan Bass MD

Jonathan Bass, M.D., as a member of our medical staff. Dr. Bass has extensive hospital and professional experience with an impressive academic and teaching background. Dr. Bass graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. After completing an internal medicine internship, Dr. Bass subsequently completed an internal medicine residency, both at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He went on to complete a dermatology residency at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, during which he served as Chief Resident.

He concluded his postgraduate training following the completion of a dermatopathology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Bass has a long history of teaching at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, having served as both Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Senior Instructor of Pathology for over 20 years. He has been Associate Professor of Pathology and Dermatology since 2008. Dr. Bass has also held a number of key positions on various medical committees over the years. He has served as President and Secretary for both the Cleveland Dermatological Society and the Ohio Dermatological Society; for the latter, he also served as Trustee and Co-Chair of the Finance Committee. With the Dermatology Foundation Leaders Society, he served as Vice-Chair, and most recently, the Northern Ohio State Chair.
