Jonatas Amaral PhD

Jonatas Bussador Do Amaral has a degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003) and a PhD in Sciences (Cell and Tissue Biology) from the University of São Paulo. He works as a Biologist in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at UNIFESP and is a professor (external collaborator) in the postgraduate program in Health Sciences at Universidade Santo Amaro. He is carrying out his post-doctorate at the Federal University of São Paulo evaluating, in animal models, the role of B lymphocytes in the progression of atherosclerosis. He has experience in studying tumor cell biology, mainly in the development of 3-dimensional cell cultures. He has important works that explore the use of different types of microscopy, image reconstruction, and animations. At the same time, he also works on work related to education and the internal morphology of insects.
