Dr. Jonas Kath, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist specializing in advanced cell and gene-based immunotherapies. He is currently a Scientist at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of Europe’s leading academic medical centers, where he is affiliated with the Berlin Center for Advanced Therapies and focuses on translational research in engineered immune cells.

Dr. Kath’s work centers on the development and optimization of engineered antigen receptors and next-generation cell therapies, including CAR-T and NK cell platforms for cancer and immune-related diseases. His research has contributed to advances in genome engineering approaches to enhance immune cell cytotoxicity and therapeutic efficacy.

He completed his MD and PhD training at Charité, where he was part of interdisciplinary doctoral programs in regenerative and translational medicine. During his doctoral research, he worked on innovative strategies for the rapid development and characterization of engineered immune receptors. Before his current role, Dr. Kath gained international research experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Baylor College of Medicine, further strengthening his expertise in immunotherapy and biomedical research.
