Jon Krohmer, MD, is the director of the Office of EMS at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Prior to joining NHTSA, he served in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and as an emergency physician and local EMS medical director. He is also a past president of the National Association of EMS Physicians
