Jon Ivar Einarsson MD, MPH

Dr. Jon Einarsson is the Director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School. He is internationally known in his field and has been invited to speak and operate in numerous countries and 5 continents. Dr. Einarsson is the Past President of the AAGL, the largest international MIGS organization and he has published well over 100 original scientific articles as well as co-authored book chapters and has edited and published his own textbook in the field of MIGS.

Dr. Einarsson is also an innovator with several granted or pending medical device patents. He is the Founder of Freyja Healthcare, a medical device startup company that has successfully licensed medical devices to large medical device companies. Freyja continues to develop innovative medical devices that have the potential to save lives and make surgery safer and simpler.
