She has served children, adults, and families by providing support, education and mental health treatment for the past 23 years. Jolee specializes in the areas of attachment and trauma. Her passion lies in empowering individuals and families to experience themselves in a more positive light.
She creates space within relationships for this healing to take place. Her clinical background includes training in Interpersonal, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, and EMDR with an emphasis on the mind-body connection. Jolee has a commitment to the learning process and provides trauma informed clinical supervision to the therapists in Florence Crittenton Services of Topeka’s Inpatient and Outpatient programs, as well as to Masters Level Psychology students.
Jolee will be presenting a Deep Dive Learning Opportunity Workshop on Changing the Narrative for Healing. Traumas which occur within the context of relationships must also be healed through relationships. Positive relationships provide new experiences to expand or change the narrative of how we view ourselves, and others in the world. Changing the narrative from defectiveness to functional language is both shame reducing and honors the journey of young women. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge for how to serve as an enlightened witness to create space for healing.
