John W. Becher DO

Dr. John Becher has been Professor, Chair and Course Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at PCOM in conjunction with Albert Einstein Medical Center since 1981. Dr. Becher has done numerous presentations on trauma resuscitation, training rotations, and emergency department risk management. He has published various articles in the Emergency Department News and the Osteopathic Physician Journal, and other publications in the emergency medical field.

Dr. Becher is a member of several professional societies, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, and the Association of Academic Chairs in Emergency Medicine. In 1981 Dr. Becher received a Diplomat from the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Emergency Services in 1996. He completed his D.O. at PCOM in 1970 and served a one-year internship from 1970 to 1971 at the Flint Osteopathic Hospital.
