John Wilkins, MD, is a cardiologist at Northwestern Medicine and an associate professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. As part of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, Dr. Wilkins specializes in cardiovascular disease prevention, family history of heart disease, lipid abnormalities, and hypertension management, as well as general cardiology. In his research, he studies the epidemiology of numerous factors that may influence the evolution of cardiovascular risk factors from young adulthood to older ages.
