John R. Scheel MD, PhD, MPH

John Scheel, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and a UW assistant professor of Radiology.

Dr. Scheel believes in empowering patients with knowledge to help them make important decisions regarding their health. Not all patients are the same, therefore their healthcare should be individualized to meet their needs and expectations. It is Dr. Scheel's goal to achieve that care for each patient, using evidence-based medicine and state-of-the-art technology.

Dr. Scheel earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. His clinical practice includes all aspects of breast imaging. His research activities are focused on identifying and addressing health care access barriers in underserved communities, both locally and globally.
