John Michael Bostwick MD

Dr. J. Michael Bostwick is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and has been a consultant in psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota since 1998. He earned a medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine, Providence, Rhode Island, in 1987, and pursued training in pediatrics, psychiatry, and psychosomatic medicine in various Harvard University residencies and fellowships between 1987 and 1993. He is board-certified in Psychiatry with additional qualifications in Geriatric Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Psychosomatic Medicine. His areas of research include suicide epidemiology and preventions, medical marijuana, and diverse topics in hospital-based psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and psychosomatic medicine.
