John M. Giurini, D.P.M., FACFAS – Boston, Massachusetts Dr. Giurini received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and his DPM from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston where he joined the staff upon completion in 1987. He has served as Director of Fellowship Training and, subsequently, Director of Podiatric Medical Education. In 1999 he was appointed Chief of the Division of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Giurini has held leadership positions in the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons including President of the ACFAS in 2008. He has served on committees for the ACFAS, APMA and the ADA as well as several hospital committees. He is a founding member of the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) and a founding member of the Foot Care Council of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). He is the author of over 80 original research reports, abstracts, book chapters and continuing education materials. He is a recognized national and international lecturer at scientific meetings and continuing medical education programs. He is a member of the APMA, ACFAS and ADA.
